Redmi Note 7 With 4,000mAh Battery, Dual Rear Cameras Launched in India
Redmi Note 7 has finally arrived in India. Xiaomi finished weeks of anticipatory wait when they announced the launch of the Phone at an event in New Delhi, on Thursday. Last month the newly established Redmi sub-brand launched their first smartphone Redmi Note 7 in China. However, there have been some changes made in the Indian version of Redmi Note 7 by Xiaomi, notably foregoing the 48 megapixel camera. Xiaomi India is promising something big for their Redmi Note 7 and the Company has been teasing for weeks now about its launch. Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain has claimed in an interview with Gadgets 360 that Redmi Note 7 shall be a “game changer device.”
At the launch event of Redmi Note 7 Xiaomi also unveiled their new Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone. It is the international debut of the Pro-variant, which features a number of tweaks and upgrades over the Redmi Note 7, including a powerful processor, more storage, and improved cameras.
Redmi Note 7 price in India, launch offers
Xiaomi has continued its tradition of aggressive pricing for its smartphones and the Redmi Note 7 starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB / 32GB version and the 4GB / 64GB model shall come at a price of Rs. 11,999. As per the Company information there are three color options being offered for Redmi Note 7 – Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, and Onyx Black.
12 PM IST on March 6 is the scheduled time for the First-Flash-Sale of this smartphone. Flipkart, Mi Home Stores and Mi.com shall be offering the smartphone. However, very soon some select offline retain chains shall also be selling the same. An “ultra slim” case is being offered at the launch, however, for Rs.349 a perforated case shall also be available. Airtel is offering a lot of benefits like 1,120 GB together with unlimited calling and their other benefits such as App Advisor, Contacts Backup, Spam Block, free access to Airtel TV premium and much more.
Redmi Note 7 specifications
The Phone comes with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, sporting 6.3 inch, full HD + (1080X2340 pixels) screen, protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and waterdrop style notch. The Redmi Note 7 packs 3GB and 4GB of RAM and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa core SoC. The Phone has a 32GB or 64GB inbuilt storage and a facility for further expansion through microSD card slot. The Phone also has a 4,000mAh battery, quick charge 4.0 support, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, rear-fingerprint sensor and a hybrid dual SIM support. In terms of the connectivity options, the Redmi Note 7 comes with Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and Infrared.
Redmi Note 7 Camera
Xiaomi has highlighted the imaging capability as a strong point of Redmi Note 7. The phone has a dual camera on the back, housing a Primary 12 megapixel sensor (and 1.25 micron pixels) alongwith the Secondary 2 megapixel depth sensor. However, Xiaomi had used a 48 megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM 1 sensor and 5 megapixel depth sensor on this Phone in China. However, similar to the China version, the Phone has a 13 megapixel front shooter. Further claims of the Company for the camera app include that the Smartphone is offering a better portrait mode, scene recognition support and smart beauty features by the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
On the software front, this smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10, which includes features like Face Unlock as well as a number of software enhancements.
For Xiaomi, both Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro shall be very significant smartphones as the company readies itself to face the challenge thrown by other players like Samsung, which is rumored to flood the market with aggressively priced phones, having more attractive specifications.
